Repeat Offender Caught Again

(TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH) – On Saturday March 12 2016 at 10:10 am, the Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a robbery at a local business on Mill Street in Angus.

Just after 10:00AM, a male entered the store making a demand for all the money from the till. No weapons were seen. The male was last seen leaving the store on foot in a northwest direction.

Later on Saturday March 12, 2016 at 7:31PM, members of Barrie Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police attended a robbery that had occurred at a business on Highway 12, Oro-Medonte Township.

On Wednesday March 16, 2016, Ryan COUSINEAU aged 34 yrs of Tay Township was arrested with the assistance of members from Southern Georgian Bay OPP, the Central Region Emergency Response Team, and the Regional Support Team. Search warrants were then executed by members of the Nottawasaga and Barrie Crime Units at an address in Tay Township.

COUSINEAU stands charged with two counts each of Robbery, wearing a disguise and breach of probation. COUSINEAU appears in Barrie bail court today.

Investigations are continuing.
