Repeat Offender Arrested For Theft And Assault – Matthew Pleau

On October 12, 2016 the Guelph Police began an investigation into a shoplifting incident at a Wellington Street business. It is alleged that the male concealed merchandise in his backpack and left the store without paying for it. The manager followed the man outside and told the man that police were being called. The man then chased the manager back into the store and pushed him to the ground before fleeing the area.

Guelph Police investigation led to the identity of the man and on November 11, 2016 at 8:22 p.m. he was arrested.

Matthew Pleau, 30 years of Guelph has been charged with theft under $5,000, assault and three counts of breach of probation. He will appear in court on November 25, 2016.
