Reese BURGESS – Theft X2, Stolen Property, Dangerous Weapon

(Prince Edward County, ON)— On May 28, 2015 at 6:27am the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Prince Edward detachment received a complaint of a suspicious looking male pushing an All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) in the area of Lake Street and Mary Street in the Town of Picton. Upon police arrival, the suspect quickly fled on a foot, however was intercepted by officers.

20 year old male, Reese BURGESS of no fixed address was arrested and charged with the following offences;

Two counts of Theft Under $5,000 contrary to section 334(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada

Carrying a Weapon Dangerous to the Public Peace contrary to section 88 of the Criminal Code of Canada. (modified cap gun)

The accused was held for a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice, Belleville.
