Rebecca IRVINE – Drunk Driving

(FORT FRANCES, ON) – Officers of the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an adult female driver with criminal impaired driving on December 9, 2014 at 10:51 pm.

During routine patrol, officers enacted their emergency lights and stopped a 2007 Chevrolet Trail Blazer on the 100 Block of Fourth Street West in Fort Frances after observing driving habits consistent with impaired driving. The driver, 41 year old Rebecca IRVINE of Fort Frances, ON was arrested for failing a roadside screen device and transported to OPP Detachment for breath tests which led to her being charged with Having Over 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. Her vehicle was impounded for a minimum of 7 days and she was issued a mandatory drivers licence suspension. She is scheduled to appear in Fort Frances Court on December 22, 2014.

The OPP reminds motorists that operating a vehicle under the influence of any amount of alcohol is dangerous and jeopardizes your own safety as well as the safety of others.
