Bullying is known to cause serious physical and psychological harm such as depression, anxiety, and the increased risk of suicide. It can be a traumatic experience, and some forms of bullying can even be considered a criminal offence.

Huron OPP’s Community Safety Officer (CSO) PC Jamie Stanley will be speaking to students this afternoon at St. James Catholic Elementary School in Seaforth about this serious issue. One of the messages that will be delivered to the students is bullying is not normal and is not acceptable. Whether it be at home, at school, in the workplace, in the arena or at the park.

Students will be encouraged to Have Someone’s Back” and to lend support to their friend
