(CALEDON, ON) – On September 23rd, 2015 shortly after 12:35 pm, officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to respond to an unresponsive male asleep inside his vehicle on the shoulder of Highway 10 north of Valleywood Boulevard. The officers attended and upon speaking with the male, they immediately determined that the driver had consumed alcohol. As a result, the officer demanded the driver provide a sample of his breath into an approved screening device. The test resulted in a fail and subsequently the male was arrested and transported to Detachment for further testing.
Reade J. HOUSTON, 50, from Dundas was arrested and charged with Care and Control Over 80.
The 90-day Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
The accused was released and he is scheduled to make a first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville at a later date.
