RASH OF VEHICLE BREAK-INS IN PARRY SOUND Suspect arrested

(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – The West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated several vehicle break-ins from the evening of Wednesday December 4, 2013. Vehicles from the parking lot at the Bobby Orr Community Centre, the Parry Sound Curling Club and the YMCA were damaged and contents of the vehicle were taken. As a result an extensive investigation was conducted by members of the West Parry Sound OPP Criminal Investigations Unit, as well as the North East Region Support Team (NERST) and other members of the Criminal Investigation units throughout Ontario. The investigation revealed that the accused was involved in numerous vehicle break-ins throughout Ontario during that time.

Paul BRISEBOIS, 48 years of age from Gatineau, Quebec has been charged with:

13 counts of Mischief Under $5000, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC).
11 counts of Theft Under $5000, contrary to the CCC.
3 counts of Use of Credit Card Obtained by Crime, contrary the CCC.

He was arrested on September 25, 2014 on an outstanding warrant issued and has been remanded into custody where he will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice Parry Sound on November 24, 2014 to answer to the charges.
