(BRACEBRIDGE, ON) – Officers from the Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment responded to a traffic complaint from a motorist travelling on Highway 118 in Bracebridge on Sunday February 21, 2016 at 10:30 a.m.
Police located the vehicle shortly after on Winhara Road and conducted a traffic stop. As a result of their investigation, police arrested and charged 49 year-old Randolph FRANCIS of Burlington, ON with Impaired Operation CC 253(1)(a) and Driving with More than 80 mgs of Alcohol in his blood CC 253(1)(b). The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on March 22, 2016 to answer to his charges.
The accused received an immediate 90 day driver’s licence suspension and further had his vehicle towed and impounded.
