RACING CHARGE ON HIGHWAY 7

(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) -On January 23, 2014 at approximately

1:50 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a 2012 Nissan traveling southbound at a high rate of speed on Highway 7 near 7th Line, Guelph-Eramosa Township. The officer obtained a speed of 132 km/h in an 80 km/h zone on radar. The driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.

Aakash MANIYAR age 21 of Brampton is charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Court on March 5, 2014 to answer to the charge.
