(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) -On March 27, 2014 at approximately 10:39 a.m., an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer from the Highway Safety Division Mount Forest Traffic Unit observed a 2012 Buick traveling at a high rate of speed on Highway 6 near 2nd Line, Centre Wellington Township. The speed was captured on radar at 134km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
The driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
Robert FRIES age 40 of Kitchener is charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Court on May 21, 2014 to answer to the charge.
