(SOUTH FRONTENAC TOWNSHIP) The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) would like to remind teens to use their common sense and better judgment when gathering at social functions.
On the 2nd of April 2015 at a house party in the township of South Frontenac, an 18yr old male was playing a game of “Truth or Dare.” He approached a 19yr old acquaintance also at the party and as a “dare” punched the victim in the face.
The victim fell to the ground and shortly after left the party and drove to the hospital. The victim’s injuries were serious enough to require medical attention.
As a result the 18yr old male is now charged with Assault Cause Bodily Harm. He was released on a Promise to Appear with a court date in Kingston on the 14th of May 2015.
The OPP would like to encourage youths to make good decisions when hanging out with friends. Poor choices can result in significant consequences for everyone involved.
