On Nov. 28th, 2013 at 2000hrs, the Barrie Police conducted a routine traffic stop on a vehicle in the north-west area of the city. When the investigating officer spoke to the driver, there was a strong odour of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. The female driver and a male passenger were both placed under arrest. A search incident to arrest revealed a large sum of cash, weighing scales and a large quantity of suspected marijuana. Further investigation into the male passenger, revealed that he was the subject of a probation order and an outstanding arrest warrant from another jurisdiction. Both parties were transported to the Barrie Poice custody facitlity, where the were held pending a morning bail hearing.
