Police Seek Stolen Wheelchair

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – The Ontario Provincial Police is asking for the assistance of the public in locating a stolen wheelchair.

Police learned that sometime between 3:00 p.m. and 3:20 p.m. on September 21, 2013 unknown person(s) removed a wheelchair that was in front of 100 Hutchison Avenue. The victim advised that the wheelchair assists him in being mobile.

The manual wheelchair is described as all black, with thick, flat black spokes on the wheels.

If you are aware of the whereabouts of this wheelchair please call police. The victim is unable to get around without his wheelchair.

Anyone with information regarding the above theft is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
