(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On April 24 2016 three males from Richmond Hill were boating on Georgian Bay near Hailstone Island. At approximately 4:19 a.m. their boat encountered unknown issues causing the occupants to enter the water. The West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Carling Fire Department, Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) and Parry Sound Emergency Management Services (EMS) responded to the scene. Two males were able to swim to shore and were transported by EMS to hospital. One male is still reported as missing.
The OPP, Carling Fire Department and JRCC are continuing to search for the missing male.
