On Tuesday evening Owen Sound Police responded to several 911 calls for a fight in the 600 block of 15th Street East. The involved persons fled the area before police arrived. Investigation revealed that during a fight between two males, one of the males pulled a knife and threatened the other.
A short time later police identified the man who had the knife and subsequently arrested a 49 year old man at an eastside apartment complex. During his arrest, the man bit one of the officers.
Terry Hill 49 years of Owen Sound has been charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon and assaulting a police officer. He remains in police custody and will appear in the Owen Sound Court this morning for a bail hearing.
A knife was recovered by police.
The officer and other involved male were not injured.
