(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Saturday January 12th, shortly before midnight, the Perth County OPP received calls from motorists reporting a male person walking west bound along Hwy 8 between Stratford and Sebringville.
The male was wearing dark clothing and was difficult to see due to darkness and thick fog. Officers patrolled the area for the pedestrian but were unable to locate him.
The Perth County OPP is urging pedestrians walk against traffic close to the edge of the road, to wear bright and reflective clothing/vests, and to avoid walking along roads when the environmental conditions make it hazardous (like this weekend’s thick fog).
