(ORILLIA, ON) – Members of the media are invited to join members of the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) tomorrow as they unveil details of a lengthy investigation into illegal prescription drug trafficking in Simcoe County.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Inspector Dirk Cockburn — Nottawasaga Detachment Commander — and Detective Inspector Steve Clegg Deputy Director — OCEB will be joined by members of the local Community Drug Action Team (CDAT) and the Barrie Police Service to discuss the outcome of this investigation. Dr. Charles Gardner, Medical Officer of Health for Simcoe-Muskoka District Health Unit will also be available to discuss the health risks associated with prescription drug abuse.
