Police Investigating Stolen Vehicles

(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) –On February 4, 2015 at approximately 3:45 a.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call about a 2006 Dodge pickup truck that was stolen from a residence on Side Road 5, Centre Wellington Township. Police quickly located the truck resting in a field at Side Road 5 and Jones Baseline with no occupants. Footprints were followed in the snow to a residence on Jones Baseline where the suspects stole a 2006 Chevrolet SUV from the garage and it continues to be outstanding. Officers patrolling the area also located a 2001 Subaru near the home that was stuck in a snowbank and was reported stolen to Waterloo Regional Police Service.

It was also reported by two other home owners in the area that attempts were made to steal fuel from fuel tanks and along with a vehicle.

Police recovered stolen items left behind by the suspects that included power tools, electronics, and personal accessories.
