ADELAIDE METCALFE, ON) – The Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the Middlesex County OPP Crime Unit, and the OPP Forensic Identification Unit, are investigating an incident of aggravated assault.
Just prior to 5:00 a.m. on December 14, 2014, police received a 911 call reporting that a male had been stabbed with a knife, following a verbal altercation at a residence in the 300 block of Pannell Lane, in Adelaide Metcalfe, Ontario.
A 42 year old male victim from Adelaide Metcalfe, Ontario, suffered multiple, non-life threatening stab wounds, and was transported by ambulance to hospital, where he remains in fair condition.
A 21 year old male accused, from Strathroy Caradoc, Ontario, fled the scene in a car. He was subsequently apprehended with assistance from the Chatham Kent Police Service and is being held in custody. Charges are pending.
The Middlesex County OPP Crime Unit continues to investigate this incident.
