(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment investigated a motor vehicle collision at a Highway 24, Townsend, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Thursday, October 23, 2014 at approximately 7:53 p.m., Norfolk County OPP, Norfolk County Fire Services and Paramedics responded to a single motor vehicle collision.
Investigation has determined that a transport truck was turning northbound onto Highway 24 from Concession 5 when the rear tires of the trailer entered the east ditch resulting in the truck and trailer rolling onto its side.
The driver received minor injuries and was subsequently transported to a local area hospital for precautionary measures.
Highway 24 between Concession 5 of Townsend and Norfolk County Road 19 was closed for approximately 10 hours in order to assist with removing the contents of the trailer and transport truck.
The investigation is continuing.
