(IGNACE, ON) – Members of the Ignace Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), assisted by the Northwest Region Highway Safety Division are currently investigating a motor vehicle collision that occurred on Hwy 17 approximately 40 km west of Ignace on January 9, 2014 at approximately 7:20am CST.
There were two passenger motor vehicles involved in the collision.
One male was pronounced dead at the scene. Further information will be released once next of kin has been notified.
The highway is currently closed while the collision is being investigated. It will be opened to one lane as soon as possible.
