Police Follow Footprints In Snow And Arrest Young Criminals

On Monday, December 12, 2016 just after midnight, Waterloo Regional Police responded to an area near Dumfries Avenue in Kitchener after receiving reports that two males were seen trying to open vehicle doors. Investigators were able to follow the foot prints in the snow left by the suspects. As a result, two male youths were arrested. A search resulted in officers recovering several pieces of property that had been taken from numerous vehicles including change, ipods, cigarettes, gum, gift cards and a Bluetooth speaker. Further investigation revealed that more than 30 vehicles had been targeted on Dumfries Avenue, Melrose Avenue, Krug Street and Glendale Avenue.
