POLICE CALLED AFTER SUSPICIOUS PERSON ENTERS BARN

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment investigated an incident after being contacted by a concerned homeowner at a Norfolk County Road 19 East, Townsend, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.

On Friday, November 7, 2014 at approximately 3:16 a.m., a homeowner was awoken after hearing an audible alarm going off in their barn that was located on the property. The homeowner went outside and observed a vehicle fleeing from the area. The vehicle was last seen travelling eastbound on Norfolk County Road 19 East at a high rate of speed and is being described as a beige of light coloured vehicle with a loud muffler.

Through investigation it was determined that unknowns entered the barn located on the property however nothing was taken.

All residents are being urged by police to lock their doors to their homes and vehicles and to call the OPP immediately if they observed anyone suspicious in or around their property or your neighbour’s property.
