Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police now have two adult Kitchener men in custody in connection with the ongoing investigation into the death of Mary Anne May, 55 years, of Kitchener.
One male is expected to be charged with Second Degree Murder and Indignity to a Dead Body. A second male is facing a charge of Accessory to Murder after the Fact, and an unrelated charge of Carrying a Concealed Weapon.
Both men were arrested in Waterloo Region today without incident. They are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Kitchener on March 26, 2014 to answer to the charges. The names and ages of the accused men will be available after the information and charges are presented in court tomorrow.
Both accused males were known to the victim. No further arrests are anticipated.
The body of Mary Anne May was discovered on Friday September 20, 2013 just after 7:30am in a park area near Tyson Drive in the Bridgeport section of Kitchener. To help preserve the integrity of the ongoing investigation, the cause of death is not being released at this time.
Homicide detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of Mary Anne May along with an appeal to the public for any additional information.
