(SUNDRIDGE, ON) On Tuesday September 10, 2013 officers from the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police Detachment were patrolling Forest Lake Road, Strong Township. The officers observed a vehicle travelling in the opposite direction and recognized the driver. Police stopped the vehicle on Highway 124 in the Village of Sundridge and arrested the male who was on conditions not to operate a motor vehicle.
The male resisted the arrest and when he was placed in the rear of the police vehicle kicked the back door numerous times damaging it.
The accused was charged with Fail to comply with an undertaking or recognizance, obstruct/resist peace officer, mischief under $5000 and utter threat to cause death or bodily harm, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused, Nathan VAILLANCOURT (27) of Laurier Township was held for a bail hearing on Wednesday September 11, 2013 in Parry Sound Court.
