(Bancroft, Ontario) – Shortly after 9:30 P.M. on the 16th of July 2015, police were contacted by paramedics from the Peterborough Emergency Medical Service, reporting having found an unconscious male in a vehicle, part way into the ditch, on Highway 28 in the municipality of Highlands East.
Officers from the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P.) attended the scene and determined that the lone occupant in the vehicle, a male found in the driver’s seat, was impaired by alcohol. He was arrested, and transported to the Bancroft O.P.P. Detachment where he provided samples of his breath for analysis.
Charged with care & control of a motor vehicle while impaired, and care & control of a motor vehicle with more than 80mgs of alcohol in 100mls of blood is 59 year old Piotr Szreder of Mississauga. He was released on a Promise to Appear, with a scheduled court date of the 18th of August 2015, in Bancroft Court.
