(RED LAKE, ON) – On September 28, 2014 at 3:51am the Pikangikum Police Service received a report of a house fire on Lagoon Road within the Pikangikum First Nation Territory. Members of the Pikangikum Police Service attended the scene and extinguished the fire and after examining the scene they located one person in the residence deceased.
The Pikangikum Police Service with the assistance of members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) North West Region Crime Unit, OPP Forensic Identification Services, and the Office of the Fire Marshal are conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fire.
