Pickup Truck Runs Over Family Of Geese

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment investigated an incident at a Norfolk Street North, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Monday, May 28, 2018 at approximately 6:43 a.m., police received a report of an animal complaint.

Through the course of investigation, it was determined that a white coloured RAM pickup truck with personalized licence plates was travelling on Norfolk Street North when the driver of the vehicle made no attempts to slow down or stop for a family of Geese and goslings that were crossing the roadway.

The vehicle struck the family and continued on Norfolk Street North. A concerned citizen witnessed the event and immediately contacted police. A licence plate number was provided and officers will be following up with the owner of the vehicle.

Officers attended the area and were unable to locate any remains.

The investigation is continuing.
