Peter JACKMAN – Drive While Disqualified, Open Liquor

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – A recent vehicle stop conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has resulted in a local male facing a Criminal Code related driving offence.

On March 28, 2015 an OPP officer stopped a vehicle on Highway 35 near Cambray Road. Investigation revealed that the driver was disqualified from driving and that there was open alcohol in the vehicle. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

As a result of the investigation Peter JACKMAN, 48 years of age, of Lindsay, was charged with driving while disqualified, contrary to the Criminal Code and with driving with an open container of liquor, contrary to the Liquor Licence Act.

The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on May 14, 2015.
