(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit have charged a Waterford man following a two week on-line child pornography investigation.
On March 5, 2014 police from the OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, the Norfolk County OPP and the Halton Regional Police executed a search warrant at a Waterford residence. As a result of this investigation, one computer and other devices pertinent to the investigation were seized.
William SMITH, age 53 years, of Waterford Ontario is charged with one count of Internet Luring, one count of Invitation to Sexual Touching, one count of Making Child Pornography and one count of Possession of Child Pornography.
The accused was remanded in custody scheduled to attend a bail hearing today, March 6, 2014 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe Ontario.
The investigation is continuing.
