On September 16, 2015 members of the Guelph Police Internet Child Exploitation Unit-Technical Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the area of Grange and Watson. The investigation was a result of an online undercover investigation into the possession and sharing of child pornography. The accused resided alone in this residence. During the search of the home, computer systems, external storage devices and other articles were seized.
Robert Twine, 58 years of Guelph was arrested and has been charged with possession of child pornography, making child pornography available for distribution and accessing child pornography. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Break and enter
On September 16, 2015, the Guelph Police went to a Ginger Court residence to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered a bedroom in the house sometime between over the summer, while the resident was away, and stole electronics.
