An investigation by members of the Major Case Branch Internet Child Exploitation Unit into online offences has led to the arrest of a Kitchener man. Robert Alexander KOWALK, 44 years, was arrested today and has been charged with Luring a Child X4 and Possession of Child Pornography. The investigation began last August when Waterloo Regional Police were alerted by an Internet Investigation Unit in Colorado, U.S.A. KOWALK is alleged to have lured children under the age of 18 while using Internet-based social networks. KOWALK is known to have used the Kik Interactive social network with the profile name “Rob from Canada†and the Chathour.com social network with the profile name Jimmypage13.†Police request the assistance of the public identifying any persons who may have come into contact with Robert Alexander KOWALK.
