On Thursday the 20th of February 2014, members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service Drug Branch executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence on Crawford Crescent in Cambridge. Once inside the residence the officers found and dismantled a 161 marihuana plant grow operation. The Drug Branch officers also found and seized 224 grams of marihuana bud and marihuana grow equipment. In total, the street value of the drugs seized was over one hundred and sixty thousand dollars. Two Cambridge males, ages 35 and 62, were arrested and charged with Production and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking. Both will appear in court on April 4, 2014.
