(Brockville, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, Technological Crime Unit and the Brockville Police Service have charged a Brockville man following a four month child pornography investigation.
In January 2016, OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit conducted an on-line Child Pornography investigation which resulted in the execution of a search warrant on a dwelling in City of Brockville in February 2016. During the search of the dwelling, a computer, cell phone and thumb drive were seized. The seized items were transferred to the OPP Technological Crime unit in Orillia. These items were forensically viewed and evidence of child pornography was located.
On March 30th, 2016 as a result of this investigation, the OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit and Brockville Police Service have charged Gary Daye-Church age 32
of Brockville Ontario with one count of Possession of Child Pornography, one count of Make Available Child Pornography and one count of Accessing Child Pornography.
The accused is scheduled to attend a bail hearing today, March 31st, 2016 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville Ontario.
The investigation is continuing.
