(INGERSOLL, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Oxford Detachment received a suspicious person call from a concerned parent after their child was approached on Saturday, June 23, 2018.
At approximately 8:20 p.m. an 11-year old male youth was walking when he was approached by a vehicle at the intersection of Hillside Road and Victoria Street. The male driver and female passenger asked the youth if he wanted to come with them for a drive to a nearby town. The youth stated no, then fled the area and the incident was reported to police. The vehicle was last seen westbound on Victoria Street.
The vehicle is described as a Sports Utility or Compact Utility vehicle, 4 doors, blue in colour with tinted windows.
The male driver is being described as a dark coloured male, 30 to 35 years of age, shoulder length dark hair.
The female passenger was described as white, 30 to 35 years of age, medium length brown hair.
Police have canvassed the area and continue to investigate.
