(THUNDER BAY, ON) – On Sunday August 10 at approximately 3:30am Thunder Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were contacted by Thunder Bay Police Service to attend a motor vehicle collision which had occurred at the intersection of Highway # 17 and Red River Road just north of the pedestrian crosswalk.
Thunder Bay OPP officers attended and determined that a pickup truck had struck a 27-year-old male pedestrian from Thunder Bay. The male was subsequently transported to hospital by Emergency Medical Services.
Highway # 17 was closed for approximately five and a half hours.
The investigation is continuing.
