Pedestrian Arrested On Drug and Alcohol Charges

(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On March 26, 2015, just after 5:00 a.m., a Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended at Highway 401 eastbound near Harwich Road, for a report of a pedestrian walking on the shoulder of the highway.

During conversation with the male, it was determined that he had been consuming alcoholic beverages. A subsequent search of the male resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected marihuana.

As a result, 31 year old Jeremy RUSHLOW, from Chatham, has been charged with Possession of Marihuana Over 30 grams, under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, and Being Intoxicated In A Public Place, under the Liquor Licence Act.

He is scheduled to appear in a Chatham court on May 14, 2015, to answer to the charges.
