Female Charged In Pet Valu Armed Robbery

(North Dundas) – As a result of an ongoing armed robbery investigation, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit has charged a fourth person in connection with the incident.

On March 10, 2015 – Margaret PARKINSON (20) of Barrhaven, Ontario was arrested and charged with;

– Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence

– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000

– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 (stolen vehicle involved reported from the City of Ottawa)

She was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Morrisburg on May 12, 2015.

On February 23, 2015 at approximately 6:00pm, SD&G OPP officers, assisted by OPP Canine and Emergency Response Unit (ERT) members responded to a report of a robbery at the Pet Valu store on County Road 3 in the Village of Winchester, North Dundas Township. Investigation indicated that three (3) young males had entered the store, one brandishing a metal bar and confronted a female employee demanding money. All fled on foot across County Road 3 and the Tim Horton’s parking area with an undisclosed amount of cash. The employee was assaulted and sustained minor injuries. She was taken to hospital for treatment.

Three males (2 adults & 1 youth) were arrested and charged on February 24, 2015.
