Paul MURRAY – Drunk Driving

(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – At approximately 2:59 p.m. on January 25, 2015, the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to complaints of a possible impaired driver, travelling westbound on Highway 401, and on Elgin Road.

Police were unable to locate the vehicle at that time.

Approximately an hour later, the OPP responded to an updated complaint of a vehicle in the west ditch on Denfield Road, near 14 Mile Road.

Police located the vehicle, a black Pontiac car, and determined that the driver had been drinking alcohol.

The driver was arrested, and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for breath testing, which revealed he had consumed more than two times the legal limit of alcohol.

As a result of the investigation, Paul MURRAY, age 54, from London, Ontario, has been charged with driving while ability impaired – motor vehicle (alcohol), and driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused was released by way of a Promise to Appear, and is scheduled to answer to the charges in a London court on February 19, 2016.
