Patrick Sanford REES – Weapons, Breach

(PEMBROKE, ON) – As a result of an investigation by the Upper Ottawa Valley Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit a Pembroke man is facing weapons charges. On August 12, 2015 members of the OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and OPP Canine Unit arrested 32 year old Patrick Sanford REES of Pembroke. As a result of the investigation REES was charged with the following Criminal Code offences:

· Possession of Imitation Weapon for Dangerous Purpose

· Possession of Firearm contrary to Prohibition Order

REES was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on August 13, 2015. A replica pistol-style “BB” gun was recovered by police during the course of the investigation.
