On November 28, 2015 just before 3:00 am while on patrol police observed a 2013 Dodge Journey vehicle pulled over on the shoulder of the westbound lane facing west on County Rd. 2 in Edwardsburgh/Cardinal Township. The driver was asleep at the wheel with the vehicle in drive and his foot on the brake. Police were able to get the vehicle in park before the driver fully awoke and put his vehicle in drive again pulling a head slightly and striking the push bar on the police cruiser which was parked immediately in front. The driver was placed under arrest for Impaired Care and Control. The 25 year old male from Prescott was taken to the Prescott Detachment where he provided samples of his breath. He was subsequently charged with Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle while Impaired. He is to appear in Brockville Court at a later date.
