(WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP)- On November 28, 2015 at approximately 2:35 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers attended a residence on Wellington Street East, Mount Forest to check on the wellbeing of a man that was involved in an altercation at local business. The man answered the door and was pointing a firearm at officers. He put the firearm down quickly and was arrested. When he was searched another weapon was found. During the investigation, Police spoke with a woman at the scene and learned that he also pointed a firearm at her.
47-year-old Sean MANGAN of Mount Forest is charged with;
Pointing a Firearm X 3-Criminal Code (C.C.)
Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose-C.C.
Carry a Concealed Weapon-C.C.
Assault a Peace Officer with a Weapon X 2-C.C
He appeared in Guelph Bail Court on November 30, 2015.
