(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police have charged a 44 year old Alberta man following a vehicle stop on Friday April 11, 2014. Police stopped the vehicle at around 9:30 pm on Highway 17A for a traffic violation. The police investigation led to the arrest of the lone occupant and a search of the vehicle.
As a result of this investigation, 44 year old Owen CZECH of Calgary, Alberta has been charged with Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, contrary to the Criminal Code and Possession of a Schedule I Substance-Cocaine and Possession of a Schedule I Substance-Methadone contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act. He is to appear in Kenora Court on June 19, 2014 to answer to the charges.
