Overnight Thefts From Vehicles

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Several residents from Clinton woke up on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 and discovered property had been stolen from their vehicles. Huron OPP officers responded to five separate thefts from unlocked vehicles. A blue tool box containing hand tools was stolen from a pickup truck parked on Church Street. 25 children’s cassette tapes were stolen from a van parked on Princess Street. A Sony DVD player, box set of CD’s for a navigation system, and a set of keys were taken from a car parked on Victoria Terrace. A car parked on Dunlop Street was entered and an Adidas gym bag was stolen. A car parked on Erie Street was also entered and unspecified property was taken.

Huron OPP officers are reminding everyone “Lock it or Lose it”. Always roll up your vehicle’s windows, lock the doors and pocket the key. Remove valuables from your vehicle and park your vehicle in a well-lit area.
