(BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – On November 27, 2016 at 7:03 p.m., the Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call for assistance at a South Bruce Peninsula residence regarding an out of control youth.
Police attended the residence and arrested the youth, for failing to comply with a recognizance and uttering threats to harm the occupants.
During the investigation the male was aggressive and combative with several police officers spitting in their faces and uttering threats to harm them.
As a result of the investigation, the youth, whose name cannot be released under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with the following offences contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada:
Failing to comply with recognizance
Uttering threats x 5
Assaulting a peace officer x 4
Mischief under $5000.
The youth will appear at The Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound at a later date to answer to the charges.
