(Ottawa) The Ottawa Police Service is advising the public about fraudulent solicitation for the Ottawa Police Teddy Bear Program. This week, an Ottawa resident received a phone call from an unknown person who was soliciting financial donations for the Program.
It should be noted that the Ottawa Police does not do any telephone solicitation for Teddy Bear Program; as the Program relies on charitable donations for funding.
