Ottawa Police Nuisance Enforcement Project

(Ottawa) The Ottawa Police Service, in partnership with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, City of Ottawa By-Law and OC Transpo Special Constables conducted a Nuisance Enforcement Project in the communities of the Byward Market, Lowertown, Vanier, Sandy Hill and Centertown this past weekend. The enforcement effort was designed to address ongoing community concerns in the downtown core associated with disturbances, noise, public intoxication, drug use, aggressive driving and property damage.

This enforcement project took place on the evening of September 13 and concluded on September 15, 2013. The goal of the Nuisance Enforcement Project is to promote the safe and lawful enjoyment of downtown streets
