(Town of Mississippi Mills, ON) – Officers from The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged an Ottawa man after they stopped a car on Highway 7 near Scotch corners Road in the Town of Mississippi Mills around 8.10pm on Wednesday 23rd July 2014.
James COLE, 23 years old, is charged with one count of Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose; one count of Personating a Peace Officer and one count of Carrying a Concealed Weapon all contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
Officers seized an imitation hand gun, “blank†ammunition and a bullet proof vest.
COLE was released with conditions and is to appear at a later date at the Provincial Court in Perth.
