OPP Summer Student Employment Opportunity – Sioux Lookout

(SIOUX LOOKOUT, ON) Sioux Lookout Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has received funding from the Ministry of Children and Youth Services to hire two students for the Youth in Policing Initiative (YIPI).

This 8 week program is intended for youth who reflect the cultural diversity within the community and agree to a mentor relationship with all employees within the detachment. Pay for the position will be $11.25 per hour based on a 40 hour work week. Duration of employment will be 8 weeks (Monday through Friday), with occasional weekend shifts required.

Criteria on which the applicants will be chosen include;

Must reside in the Municipality of Sioux Lookout

Must be between 14 and 17 years of age

Must be currently attending school and returning to school in September, 2016

Must provide own transportation to work

Must successfully complete the recruitment/background check process
