(FORT FRANCES, ON.) – On November 28, 2013, the Fort Frances Community Drug Action Team with the support of the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the OPP Northwest Region Emergency Response Team conducted a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at # 58A in the Walleye Trailer park located in Fort Frances, ON.
As a result of the police investigation, officers have charged two adult males and two adult females with three counts of trafficking and six counts of possession in relation to the CDSA. Officers seized various controlled substances including marihuana, crystal methamphetamine, cocaine, Canadian currency, fifteen communication devices, packaging material and debit lists. .
During the police investigation, officers determined several small children were living inside the residence and subsequently involved Weechi-it-te-win Family Services and Kenora Rainy River Districts Family and Children Services to support the investigation.
The Fort Frances CDAT can confirm that this is the first police seizure of methamphetamine within the Rainy River District. Police seized 7 grams at a street value of $1400.
All accused are scheduled to appear in Fort Frances court on January 6, 2013.
